Program for the evening
Karen Palmer will talk about her family’s sustainable home, which she designed and built, that is located on a 350 square metre block in Adelaide. Karen will focus on the different living areas, the lifestyle elements and how they are enjoyed throughout the year.
The home was opened for Sustainable House Day in 2008 and 2009 and Karen is an excellent resource to ask questions of so come along and listen to a real life experience on living a sustainable lifestyle.
Who Can Help Me?
There’s also a segment called Who Can Help Me which is a chance to pose questions such as: Where can I buy it? How do I do it? Does anybody know about…? If you have anything of interest to show and tell or an event to report during this segment, bring it along.
Afterward we have tea/coffee and nibbles and a chance for informal discussion. You’ll usually find somebody who has the information you need or is interested in what you’re doing.
Future Meeting Topics?
The Branch Committee is always keen to know what future topics members would like to hear about so raise them in this segment or email to adelaidebranch@ata.org.au
July presenter
We are talking with LED, Co-Gen systems and EPA / water quality speakers and when one of them is confirmed we will post a note on the ATA website and notify in the next newsletter.
Other events and items
Greenpeace has launched an appeal to build Rainbow Warrior III and seeks donations aiming to raise $250,000 by 30 June 2010. See www.greenpeace.org.au/donate.
The SA Branch is happy to publicise appropriate events hosted by other bodies. However we request that they assist this process by submitting as plain format, ready for inclusion.
