Adelaide Branch Meeting 9th Feb 2010

Where: Enfield Community Centre, 540 Regency Road, Enfield.

Entry fee: Gold coin donation to assist with hall hire.
Presentation
Craig Hughes, Environmental Officer for Port Adelaide-Enfield Council will tell us about the council’s composite utilities project to improve energy efficiency, sustainable public lighting strategies, biodiversity programme and alternative energy initiatives.
Election of committee
Nominations will be taken at this meeting and elections will be held for the ATA SA Branch committee members for 2010. See the new convenor’s note for more details on the committee roles.

Future meetings
March: Colin Pitman Director of City Projects at the City of Salisbury will given an overview of the Council’s impressive work in developing urban wetlands as a water resource. These include aquifer storage and recovery, effluent reuse and reticulation. The recent development of a stormwater harvesting system at Parafield has received international attention for the water savings achieved and the benefits to the broader environment.
