Energy Storage – looking at the Zn-Br flow battery

The next ATA branch meeting will feature an interesting presentation on energy storage and its application to renewable energy sources. In particular the development of Zn-Br flow battery technology will be discussed.

Christopher Winter, CEO of RedFlow Pty Ltd, will speak about how energy storage can increase the value of renewable energy sources; various technologies available and under development, and their positives and negatives; why we have developed the Zn-Br flow battery and what its capabilities are; how his company sees the Zn-Br flow battery being used in the market.

Christopher is an engineer with 18 years experience in the international energy industry. He began developing energy storage systems in 2001 and has a comprehensive understanding of advanced energy storage technologies. Christopher co-founded RedFlow Pty Ltd (redflow.com.au) to commercialise the next generation of energy storage solutions for renewable energy and grid-support applications.

The format for the evening:
