The theme of this meeting is resilience and will feature two presenters. There will also be discussion about how to get the group structured to go forward.
Steve Goldthorpe, an energy analyst, will talk on the general situation in NZ, covering energy balance and oil dependence and will review the available feed-in tariffs.
Michael Lawley from EcoInnovation who will look at the relative place of wind, hydro and PVs and demonstrate the latest developments including his new hydro unit.
Future events
We will plan an afternoon assembling a solar water heating unit from scrap with Ian Sumner and a session on biogas generation with Steve Rodda in the New Year.
