Design Features in 6 Star Energy Rating Houses
Speaker: Tim Hamer (ATA Melbourne Branch) discussed the approach of VicUrban (an arm of State Government Development) to 6 Star sustainable housing. He gave a brief overview of some of the methods used to reach a 6 Star energy efficiency rating, then a short DVD (5 minutes).
Guest Speaker: Richard Potter (Solarcharge) spoke to us on the features of his sustainable house in Sandringham, and on the current state of play with Solar PV (photo voltaic electricity) installations.
ATA Policy Directions
Guest Speaker: Damien Moyse (ATA Head Office) spoke about the current policy approach from the ATA as we run up to the State and Federal elections.
