When: Wednesday August 19th
Time: 6pm
Where: Earthwise, 315 Bagot Rd, Subiaco (just next to the Subiaco Primary School)

Instead of a formal speaker for this meeting we will be having an interactive session to let all the members get to know each other better, swap ideas, hear of interests etc. We still plan to have future meetings with guest speakers as a main item and want to allow some time at every meeting for members to interact which will hopefully strengthen the group and make the meetings more interesting.

The schedule for the meeting is:

• 6:00pm – Doors open; coffee, tea and (maybe) biscuits available for a gold coin donation. Chat time.
• 6:30pm – Formal meeting starts.
• 7:45pm – Meeting ends. Coffee and tea available again – more interaction time.
• 8:15pm – Meeting closes.

The agenda for this meeting:

1. Travis Hargreaves will give some details on the facilities and services available from ATA and the benefits of membership. He will have some membership forms available for those who aren’t already members.

2. Election of a new Convenor: Jonathon Thwaites is stepping down as the Perth branch convenor. If you are interested in nominating for the convenor role please email Alan Benn, abenn@ieee.org

3. Open discussion on sustainability, alternative technology and personal experiences. This is an opportunity for members to pose questions such as:

• Does anybody know about …..?
• How do I …… ?
• Where can I buy ….. ?

We are looking for new ideas for outings, speakers and information that may be of interest to the group. We would like to enable members to get together with like minded people who are interested in the same topics, to help each other out with information and projects. We may even form smaller interest groups who can research topics and report back to the whole group.

We welcome new members so if you have friends who are interested in any sustainability topics please bring them along.
