Sydney Central: June 2009 Meeting
For our 9th June meeting, Rob Kemp will be providing a short summary of the previous years Sustainable House Day events. Rob has been involved with the event since 2002 – In the first year as a volunteer, then opening his house between 2003 and 2007. For the past two years he’s been the main co-ordinator for the event in NSW. He will share his experiences of what worked well and the challenges that were encountered.
Sustainable House Day is an ANZSES event and is scheduled again this September 2009. A range of sustainable houses will be open to the public to profile energy efficiency, use of solar energy and water saving techniques.
Rob has been a member of ATA for 13 years, and in his own house, has installed a Solar Hot Water system, Grid-interactive PV system, Sun Lizard solar air heater and several water tanks (including an ecosac bladder under the house last year).
This meeting will also be the election of the committee for Sydney Central ATA for another year, and we would like to include some discussion about projects and meeting topics for 2009-10. So join us, members and non-members both welcome, no need to register.
Location: Sydney Mechanics School or Arts, 5th Floor, 280 Pitt St Sydney from 6 pm till 8 pm on June 9th.
