Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a website where I can get the latest REC price? They appear to be a bit like shares with their pricing. The sustainabode website in WA has the only monthly REC price list that I have found but that is from a second source.

REC's seem to be traded on a transaction by transaction basis and so pricing information is hard to come by. I have also looked and not found a good, up-to-date source.
Its a bit of an information hole that the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator might want to consider fixing so that consumers can make better judgements about the value of generating renewable electricity. Some kind of online market would be useful.

However the spot price is not what you can get from carbon traders. This week the best price on can get is about $35 per REC.
If anybody knows how to get paid the spot price, please let us know.
Spot REC market trades are typically done in parcels of no less that 5,000 RECs - that's why the $$ here is greater. We're always happy to give the weekly REC price if you call our office 03 9805 0700.
