Hi everyone. I'm interested to get a feel for ppl's interest in investing in solar heated domestic hot water, pool heating and hydronics as a complete (pool heating an option)packaged purchase?

I'm interested in a cheap solar add-on to an existing hydronic system, but know enough to know that it isn't cheap when done as a commercial system.

I would be. We are planning our renovations at the moment and are intending to use dolar heated in slab hydronics. There don't seem to be any off the shelf type packages so we are just doing the design ourselves. To have a tried and tested alternative would be reassuring.

We've finished our renovation and have in-slab hydronics ready and waiting for connection. We also have a pool to heat (with plumbing in place), and household hot water to generate. When budgets allow, I have the name of a hydraulics engineer in Sydney to consult.
Always looking for a technology to combine it altogether.

I would be as well. Looking to do hydronics with solar supplement. Current quotes are very expensive.

I've been looking for a solution to this as well. There are a couple of US sites that almost package it up: http://dogstarsolar.net/about/heat-exchanger-systems/, http://www.gogreenheat.com/basics_of_solar.htm
This may help with designing the system
But I've not seen any finished product, especially in Oz unfortunately. For me it will most likely be a custom job with the plumber.
High level it's ETs providing heating for the DHW and Hydronic floor via the storage tank (with gas boost) and a heat exchanger off the solar loop for the pool.Posted Wednesday 18 Aug 2010 @ 6:59:36 am from IP # -
Hey!!!
It’s nice to know about solar heated domestic equipment. I also want to have more and more information on this. If you have any information about it then please do me a favor.Posted Monday 23 Aug 2010 @ 5:08:40 am from IP #
