The Alternative Technology Association (ATA) is governed by a skills-based board of 11 members. A number of vacancies will be available for election of new members to the board at the next AGM in November 2018.
The Board seeks individuals with a demonstrated commitment to sustainable living and an appreciation of the role and responsibilities of a director. To complement the board’s existing skills base, current priority focus is on applicants who have the following specific professional skills and knowledge:
- senior HR professional; expertise in strategic HR and organisational development
- fundraising professional with experience in developing leadership giving
- marketing / PR
Previous Board and/or executive management experience, with training in governance related processes (e.g. Australian Institute of Company Director training) would be of advantage, but is not essential.
