Our Hands Make Light Work

Our Hands Make Light Work is a very practical project that is aiming to raise funds to purchase solar lighting systems for community weaving centres. It is a partnership between the Alternative Technology Association’s (ATA) International Project Group, the Victorian Women’s Trust and East Timor Women Australia.
Installing solar lighting systems on these buildings will allow them to be fully utilised by the community. The solar system installation will be overseen by ATA’s ET IPG, a volunteer group that undertakes renewable energy projects and has been working for a number of years with East Timorese communities in the promotion, training and installation of solar power. So come along and enjoy knowledgeable speakers, refreshments and help support a very inspiring project at this fundraising event.
