Take Action On Feed-In Tariffs

Feed-in tariffs are fair rates paid for electricity fed back into the electricity grid from designated sources of renewable electricity generation, such as solar photovoltaics.

Solar photovoltaic (PV) micro-generation is disadvantaged in Australia as the market fails to take into account the true value and many benefits to the electricity network which arise from the adoption of renewable energy technologies embedded within the electricity grid. A feed-in tariff redresses these systemic market failures and rewards micro-generation for its true value by providing a financial reward for the adoption of renewable energy.

How you can help
ATA encourages you to write to your local member and relevant state ministers, requesting that the government introduces a fair, progressive and effective incentive for solar electricity micro-generation.
